Update from Administrator – April 14, 2021

Dear Families and Residents,

Beacon Brook Health Center was notified that a staff member has tested positive in the community.  The staff member has not worked in the facility in the past 10 days. Based on contact tracing, this staff member was not working in the facility during the infectious period and no unit is considered affected.

Visitation:

We will continue to have scheduled indoor visitation/ outdoor visitation.

  • No significant changes to our center or our visitation plans, which are based on our state’s guidance from the CDC and CMS recommendations.
  • We always offer visitations using our technology (iPads, tablets, calls, etc.) and when we can, window visits and outside visits. If you do not have an appointment scheduled, please contact medical records at 203-729-9889 or medrec@beaconbrookhc.com to schedule an appointment for an outdoor visit, window visit or virtual visit.

Reminders:

  • Outdoor visitation is not affected by an internal outbreak on a unit, while we await the results of the initial round of testing.
  • Outdoor visitation is still the recommended form of visitation from CMS and the CDC.

Hoping you are staying safe and healthy.

Sincerely,
Melissa Vivo, Administrator
