Update from Administrator – January 6, 2021

As always, our team and I hope this email finds you safe and healthy.
Beacon Brook Health Center has a resident who tested positive from our weekly COVID testing. We will continue testing weekly as mandated. We will continue reporting at regular intervals as required by CMS, CDC and DPH.
On December 28th, Beacon Brook Health Center held a vaccination clinic with CVS Pharmacy. The first dose of the two step Pfizer vaccine was administered to residents and staff who consented. During that clinic, 50% of residents and 30% of staff participated in the clinic. We have two more dates scheduled with CVS. Our next clinic is scheduled for January 18, 2021.
There is still time to give consent to have the vaccination. To give consent, the responsible party for the resident may email our Infection Preventionist at icn@beaconbrookhc.com with the following information: (cut and paste)
I, (your name), give consent for (resident name) to receive the Covid 19 vaccination from CVS pharmacy.
We are encouraging all residents and staff who are eligible to receive the vaccination to participate in the clinics offered.
We continue to remind our staff to not only practice safeguards against COVID in our center, but to be vigilant outside of our center and share these practices with their friends and loved ones.
